Is my LastPass vault or browser compromised due to unusual browser history activity?

I recently opened my LastPass vault in one of my browser tabs and left it open without interacting with it for the past few days. Today, I noticed tons of entries in my browser history over the last few days that seem to be related to ads. The entries are flooding my browser history, with new ones being created every few minutes. This never happened before. Now it is stopped after I closed the tab.

I'm concerned this might indicate a compromise of my browser or LastPass account. Could my LastPass vault have been accessed without my knowledge? Is this activity dangerous, and what steps should I take to secure my data?

It has started on my computer as well. Only started a few days ago but it's in the hundreds - all LastPass and all the advert for LastPass families: https://lastpass.com/ads.php?v=4.0&nobr=1&noga=1&rand=267&v=1.1.1&g_lpImprove=1

Is this a serious problem with LastPass? It is still safe to use?

I apologize for the strange LastPass app behavior there.

Can you say which device and web browser are in use with LastPass?

Do you regularly clear your browser's cache or block cookies?

Have you tried clearing the LastPass cache by choosing 'Account' > 'Fix a problem' ?

I have had this happening  for months.  My  history is overrun with Lastpass entries.  Is there a way to prevent or  block this from happening? Is Lastpass marketing in this manner?
