I had multi factor authentication enabled for year. I have always used the Google Authenticator.
Now today I see i have no multifactor methods enabled in my account. How did this happen? This is very concerning.
Hi @adam9999,
An email is sent to users when multifactor authentication is disabled for the account, if you'd like to test you can try enabling then disabling MFA for your LastPass account (then re-enabling if you'd like MFA to be enabled for your account, of course):https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass/help/how-do-i-disable-multifactor-authentication-as-a-user-lp010099
I have to check my email when I login a new divice for years too
But somehow today someone change my master password without any double check
I dont know how, but now I lost my account and all my password
Most Important, there are not any support what so ever
I can just leave my comment here any hope for luck
It would be extremely rare for someone to turn off multifactor. You guys should at least send an email alert when this occurs.
We are not able to see why or how a multifactor option was enabled or disabled for your account, if you are concerned that your account has been compromised please follow the steps outlined here immediately to be sure only you have access to your account:https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass/help/help-i-think-my-account-has-been-compromised-lp070012
Thanks Rachel. I can't find any trace of such an email.
Once, my credit card expired around the time my Lastpass was set to renew. I was downgraded from premium briefly before I updated it (this was a few years ago). Could this have turned off multifactor without telling me?
That should not have disabled MFA for your account, as all LastPass users no matter their plan subscription can enable and use MFA for their account (unless you were using an MFA option that is only available for Paid users, such as fingerprint authentication or Yubikey)
