Hello @ebnatl,
My name is Henry and I am happy to assist with your inquiry, and appreciate you contacting LastPass Support!
I am sorry about the issue you are having with your browser. As far as I recall, DuckDuckGo browser does not support Browser Extensions yet. Unfortunately at this time, LastPass does not have support for this browser, you would need to log in through our website and copy and paste your passwords or use a different web browser.
Thank you,
Henry | Customer Care
Does Lastpass plan to have an add-in soon?
Please create an extension for Duck Duck Go!
LastPass is an invaluable tool for privacy. DuckDuckGo users select it to browse safely. Please work with DuckDuckGo to make an extension possible. Logging in and out to check passwords while browsing is against the safety and security mission of both companies - GET IT TOGETHER!
Last Pass is really making things inconvenient by eliminating the Mac OSX app. We don't just use this for autofill on webpages and many web pages don't work well with Safari and only a fool would use chrome and have it track and sell your information. We are in the world of privacy and anonymity. This is your current idea of good product design:
1) I am using a safe browser like Duck Duck Go and need to access a password.
2) YOU make me load Safari just to access Duck Duck go. I guess I could go to your website but it a pain.
3) Then copy paste.
I'm going to seriously look at alternative because I use secure note, and other things and having to launch a browser instead of an app is dumb. What's next? Are you going to discontinue the iPhone app and make us use a browser on our phone? If so, let me off of your wayback machine.
@AshC_LP - We want to use Duck Duck Go in this age of surveillance. Honestly, it's infuriating to get pushed to browsers we don't want. Opera sounds good in theory, but supports crypto and I'm not interested. Edge is Microsoft—no, thanks. Mozilla just changed its privacy policy so they have the rights to your data (with many suspecting it's to train an LLM).
Honestly, if you don't step up here, I'm going to consider another password program. As our data and privacy are being encroached, LastPass should be stepping up to help us.
@AshC_LP - What exactly is the problem? Do you not have enough resources? I’m a 30 year Technologist and manager. Others have a plugin for Duck Duck Go and also supports Biometrics. The only limitation I see with them is the limitation on lenght for their secure notes, but it’s workable. They also have a secrets manager and provide other integrated apps like an Authenticator and also have support for SSH keys. The point being is that LastPass is falling behind and you had better figure it out.
Hi, @jbob
I'm sorry for the frustration there.
We may consider developing a standard OSX app in the future, but do not have any current plans other than specific browser app upgrades to address individual functions and commands that vary in certain ways. Have you considered trying Firefox, Opera or Edge as an alternate to DuckDuck?
it's 1/2026. Do you STILL not have a method of adding LastPass to Duck Duck Go? If not, WHY NOT?
ADD TO DUCKDUCKGO. No one wants to use these snooping browsers. Bitwarden is a good alternative, and I'm willing to switch if you guys don't do anything
I have been waiting for this for a long time, and still no roadmap from LastPass on supporting DuckDuckGo. I am now considering switching to Bitwarden that works with DuckDuckGo.
