Can't enable MFA in Account Settings, incorrect master password error

LastPass master password is not accepted to enable multifactor authentication. The message is "Incorrect master password, try again" when the correct password has been typed in. I am trying to set up Google Authenticator but if fails the same on others. Probably something easy but I haven't been able to solve it. Any suggestions? I'm using Firefox. Also, I can send a test email from my LastPass account but if I try to login on another computer is shows an email has been send but one is never received. Thanks in advance.

Hi @MittC,

Could you try changing a different setting in your Account Settings that requires you to type in your master password, to make sure it is being entered correctly? Here's how you can do that:

• Open your Vault and click Account Settings on the left side menu
• Click Show Advanced Settings > Scroll down to "Re-prompt for Master Password" and select or de-select any of the checkboxes in this section. Click Update.
• You should see a prompt to enter your master password. If you see the same error that the master password is not being entered correctly, this does mean that the master password you're typing in is not the correct master password.

• You will need to double check how you are entering the new Master Password you created, remember it is case sensitive, must include at least one upper and one lower case letter, number and symbol.
