I am trying to report a bug. All new text form fields that I had added under "Advanced settings" on all my password entries disappeared a few months ago. And since then attempting to add new text form fields fails.

Question

To recreated this bug... 1) Open LastPass in the browser. 2) Open any password entry to edit. 3) Under "Advanced settings" for the entry click on the button with the wrench icon. 4) Add a new text form field and save. 5) Reopen the same entry, go back to where the field was saved, and it will be gone.

From my perspective the fields seem to stick in the settings now which was were the original problem was.  However, now they can be added to the form fields and stay, but they do not populate the form as I would expect.  Defeating the whole prupose of using them anyway.  So bascially now I can see themin the passowrd entries as extra fform fields and they are kept between edits.  But as I said they do not end up being entered into the other named form fields when you select a FILL option on the main username or password field.   BASICALLY STILL NOT WORKING!

Tutorial:

Solution from Ruud / Netherlands:

1. Make sure that the website in question is active on the screen.

2. Click on the red LP icon at the top of your web browser.

3. Select the relevant items from the three menus.

4. Right-click on the blue icon with the three dots.

5. Choose edit item.

6. The edit password menu opens.

7. Select Adjust form fields.

8. First remove any form fields that may still be present and write down all their details in advance.

9. Then create the desired form fields for the username and password and only use the name field data from that website. To do this, inspect the username and password field on the website by right-clicking in the field. Use the name= field. Then save everything.

10. Click again on the red LP icon at the top of your web browser and choose account at the bottom right of the menu.

11. Choose: Solve a problem yourself.

12. Choose: Refresh your vault.

13. Select: Clear local data.

14. Then log out immediately.

15. Then log in to LP again.

16 Go to the net through your edited account in the vault and you will see that the data has now been saved. Remember that you always copy the correct field name from the website that is being used! (name) Going directly to the Vault and adjusting form fields does not work! That's a big bug in Lastpass, which they apparently don't know about yet!
