If I were a community rep from Lastpass, this would be how I would respond:
"Hi, thanks for reaching out with your concerns. I understand you are considering switching to Lastpass for Safari but are nervous to because of the reviews on the App store. I understand completely and I would be too if I were you. These are your keys to your digital life and if anything were to happen to them, it could be devastating. I do want to let you know that we are making the switch for security reasons because we know how valuable your passwords are to you and like all new things, there were some complications in the roll out, but with feedback like yours, we have resolved most of them and the service keeps getting better. If you are still concerned, you can try it out and reach out to us if you have any issues and we would be glad to assist."
Your response is giving "too bad, our crappy support is here if you need it." It certainly didn't make me feel comfortable making the switch. You need serious training in customer experience.
