New LastPass bug on sites with privacy mode

As of 04/08/21 when I try to access a site with privacy mode enabled (flywheel hosted sites), the prompt for the password does not appear and the site errors with ERR_TOO_MANY_RETRIES. If I disable LastPass extension (Google Chrome) the site loads and I see the password prompt. Is there a certain setting in LastPass that can fix this?

Having the same problem on Chrome and Vivaldi when the LastPass plugin is enabled. Sites with HTTPAuth just show "ERR_TOO_MANY_RETRIES".

I believe this might be an issue with LastPass and autofilling basic authentication credentials in general rather than something specific to Flywheel, as we are seeing it with our sites behind basic auth at WP Engine as well. These are the prerequisites to reproduce the bug:

1. You must have a site behind HTTP basic authentication.

2. You must have a username/password for that site saved in your LastPass vault.

3. That username/password combo is either not for the basic auth credentials, or it is but the credentials are just wrong.

4. When autofill is enabled, LastPass is probably trying the incorrect credentials over and over again, thus theERR_TOO_MANY_RETRIES error. A screenshot of the error below:
