Misleading promotion for Canadians

I received the email regarding the upcoming changes to the LastPass Free subscription with a promotional price for LastPass Premium for $2.25/mth. Although I'm not happy about the changes, it didn't seem like a lot of money. However, when I tried to upgrade the price is actually C$4.25/mth! There was nothing in the email that would suggest the promotional price was in US$. I'm really not happy with the old "switch-a-roo". Almost doubling the price of the subscription for Canadians does not account for the currency difference.

Common LastPass / LogMeIn... stop playing stupid games with your Canadian customers!

I there was a phone number I could use to talk to someone I wouldn't be ranting on this community board, but they only provide that for Enterprise customers.

It looks like you were going to be charged full price plus any national & provincial sales taxes. There is fine print on the promotion, so your account may not even qualify.

@GlennDthanks for the link. The promotional price for Canadians still isn't the amount advertised in the email, but it is better than what I originally saw. It would be nice for you to reference $us or $cad in your advertisements to avoid confusion for your international customers.

@jpenny84I reread the advertisement very carefully after reading your post. Yes, my account will qualify for the discount, but as I mentioned, the email does not distinguish the currency the offer is being made in, therefore I assumed that since I was receiving the offer in Canada that the offer was in $CAD.

Even if you had assumed it was in USD, it's still not the same price for Canadians. That's shady. When I take into considering the exchange rate and the discount, Canadians are still paying more. It's not that much more, but that's not the point. If it's supposed to be $2.25 a month USD, we should be able to pay that as well.
