LP not working in Firefox

Question

Brand new PC.: Win 11 v. 21H2 (Build 22000 493). Latest LP install (version 4.1is unresponsive in Firefox v 106.05 x64, The icon shows black in the toolbar. If I log into LP via Edge, the Firefox icon turns red but is still unresponsive. Right clicking the FF icon shows the option to bring up the FF vault. When I try that it brings up an empty page.

Have uninstalled and re-installed numerous times -- with and without my Firewall (ESET). Nothing works. Have also tried installing the FF extension only, with the same result.

Is there something in the FF config file that needs to be changed (carefully of course).

Please help with suggestions. Am really frustrated.

Well, I'm replying to my own email. I had finally decided that I'd try the only thing left: uninstall Firefox, boot, and reinstall FF. Using RevoPro I started the uninstall process and was hit with the prompt: Uninstall, Refresh, or Cancel. Never saw "Refresh" before, but the explanation said that all settings changes made to FF since installation would be rolled back. Because I'm an incorrible tinkerer, so decided to try it first, even though I didn't remember if or what settings I had changed. At the end of the Refresh process it asked if I wanted to reinstall the LastPass extension. Replied YES, naturally. Bottom line, it worked!!
