LastPass won't let me set "backup text messages" phone number to my number

When I first set up the backup text messages some time ago I added my wife's number for that.

Now I'm trying to change that number to my number. To do that I need to disable MFA on LastPass then turn MFA back on at which point it asks me input a backup text messages phone number. When I change it from my wife's number to my own it gives me this error:

"For security reasons, the ability to send text messages has been suspended for this account. Please try again later."

Also, I should mention that in the Account Settings -> SMS Account Recovery -> Recovery Phone field I have put my phone number but the text still goes to my wife's phone.

Any idea why this is?
