The solution I found that corrects the issue is to click on the Lastpass extension, then click on Account (bottom right), select Fix problem yourself, select Clear local Data. Log back into Lasspass. This has corrected the problem when we experienced it.
This is very annoying. Another workaround is to right click the Launch button and then select Go to URL.
I have a user with this same problem, launch button not working. It shows the click but performs no function. I've toggled the extention off and back on but that didn't help. Has anyone tried to uninstall the extention? It works with the right click but we all know it isn't right somehow. I worry about breaking it completely so I haven't tried it on my customers configuration.
Hello,
Clean your computer off your cache and history, did the job with me.
I did clean last pass as well, but the launch bottom only worked again after cleaning the computer.
Hope it helps you out.
We have a user experiencing the same issue. We removed the lastpass plugin, cleared cache, uninstalled Chrome, reinstalled Chrome, reinstalled the plugin and it works for a few days but then goes back to not launching. Could it be a Chrome issue?

To add to my above post, where I got Lastpass to work skipping the launch button via clicking links in a spreadsheet, I got launch button to work not using the Edge extension to open it but opening Lastpass directly in either through the Edge or Chrome browser.
I have a spreadsheet which I use to process my credit card payments. The URL for each account is listed and by clicking the link in the spreadsheet, it accesses Lastpass, and Lastpass then inserts the usderid and passwords. I just learned the launch button doesn't work when I tried accessing other sites.
It appears I'll add other URLs to my spreadsheet in the meantime, click it, and access Lastpass that way till the launch button problem is fixed.
I have had to do this three weeks in a row. Beginning to think that a switch to DashLane is the true fix
