Hi,
I wonder if it's okay to install and use two different authenticator app on a phone for the same accounts to make sure if one of them crashed, or corrupted the data of accounts in any way, the other one keep safe our accounts?
For example; maybe something bad happens in the cloud of backup for the authenticator and lose all tokens, in this way the other authenticator have all accounts' token safe and we know which websites and apps we use and or we import them to the other. Another real bad scenario happens for me in the past few days, and I had to erase my phone by resetting factory option, then I install LastPass authenticator to recover my accounts, but my phone didn't get an SMS code to log in to LastPass app, so that brings back my accounts from the cloud in the LastPass Authenticator. So after 3 days; when I tried after many times, finally I got an SMS code and log in to LastPass, and its authenticator run and recover my accounts. During those 3 days, I couldn't access the token of my accounts to open their accounts and they're necessary to check in them. I guess if I had another different authenticator app; I could get token numbers to log in to my accounts until LastPass Authenticator would be fixed. Now if it okay to have two different 2FA apps from privacy and security perspectives?
Best,
Masoud
