You are correct, when choosing a generated password, it will be difficult to create a hint or reminder that seems easy to figure out. However, it will depend on the user's criteria on what to have registered, since it can be a generated password as a master password, but it can be saved in another document, book or application and the hint would be the place where it was documented. You may want to choose a passphrase that meets the complexity.
