The button sometimes appears on fields that are not a username, password, credit card, etc.
And it's sometimes missing on fields that are one of those.
Hello! @billkauf
Welcome to the LastPass Community.
LastPass uses the following logic to detect fields:
Presence of a password field (<input type="password">) is required for autofill to activate.
Field names or IDs containing keywords like email, password, or user are strong candidates for autofill.
If there's only one text input and no password field, LastPass may not show the autofill icon.
The LastPass browser extension scans the page for input fields and overlays the autofill icon (a grey ellipsis box) when it detects a match. It also considers:
Whether the field is visible and interactable.
Whether the field is part of a login, signup, or payment form.
Whether multiple credentials are available, in which case it shows a dropdown.
How to Use LastPass Autofill
