Individual Password Quickly Changes to Master Password

I use the free version of LastPass and have for over a decade, I think. Recently, I've noticed that when I open an individual password by clicking on the "wrench" icon and view the Edit screen, when I click on the Site Password field, then click on the "eye" to make the password visible, the real password shows for a very brief interval and is then replaced by the master password. What did I bugger up to reach this state of affairs?

The master password was inadvertently saved to your browser's password manager. You'll have to go into that saved password list, and remove the entry.

I use the premium version and have had the same problem in recent weeks.

Does anyone know to stop this from happening?

The entry for the LastPass vault or the entry for the individual account?

I did the former and that seems to have solved it, but of course I now have to enter the master PW when I open LastPass. Does that sound right?

The master password was inadvertently saved to your browser's password manager. You'll have to go into that saved password list, and remove the entry.

I don't think jpenny84's answer is correct. Clearly the actual site password is in Lastpass, because it displays for a second or two; then it turns into the master password. This happens to me for the past few months, and it happens on EVERY site I check for its password, not just one.

Well, I happily eat my previous answer <gulp, gulp>. I checked out the browser passwords at chrome://password-manager/passwords, and there was lastpass, fat and happy. I deleted that entry, and now my individual site passwords stay in the window so I can check and/or edit them. Thanks, jpenny84, and apologies for doubting your answer!
