I am interested in upgrading my free personal account to a Families account. Most of my family that I will invite already have a free account. Do I need to invite them using the email they currently use on their free account?

Welcome to the LastPass Community.

Once you upgrade to a family subscription, you will be able to invite your other family members via the family dashboard. You need to invite them using the same email address they currently use. They will be able to join your families account as family users and they will always have access to their vaults. Each user, including yourself will have their very own private vault and their master passwords. You will not be able to see other family member's vault and they will not be able to see your vault.
