Browser extension not taking master password

Question

Last pass browser extension is not working - When trying to login via the browser extension by putting in the email address and master password, three or four dots wave when it tries to load then they go away and it returns back to asking for the master password with no error. The master password being used is correct as I can login to the last pass web site with it successfully, just not the browser extension.

This browser being used is Chrome on Windows 10 -

I already uninstalled and reinstalled the LastPass browser extension without luck - after reinstalling the extension it seemed to fix the issue, but then the very next day the issue came back. Reinstalling the browser extension every time won't be possible as I have this setup for my elderly mother who is tech illiterate and we are relying on the extension to work and help her use secure passwords.

I have it configured to log out every time the browser is closed as she prefers, so login through the extension needs to be possible with every new browser session.

I was not able to find any other solutions aside from uninstalling and reinstalling the extension so look forward to hearing back on any other steps I can try or some way to troubleshoot it further.

I spoke with support directly this past Saturday and cleared the browser cache and after that it worked for the next attempt thereafter but with subsequent attempts it went back to this same issue. I set the browser to clear the cache upon existing which also doesn't seem to produce consistent results. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.
