(In addition: The desktop app in Apple AppStore is marked as from GoTo Group)
Response from LastPass regarding the desktop app. I opened another case questioning any affect on iOS. I will post the response.
Hello Jack!! thank you for contacting LastPass Support! My name is Francisco, and I really hope you're having an amazing day! Please know that I will do my best to help you in any possible way with the app issue.
Yes, that's correct. With the recent changes from LastPass, there will no longer be a standalone client for Mac. Instead, LastPass will be accessible primarily through browser extensions forSafari,Chrome,Firefox, and others. This means you'll need to use these browser extensions to manage your passwords rather than a dedicated desktop application.
While this shift may feel inconvenient, the browser extensions will still provide the functionality you need for password management. If you have any further questions or need assistance with the transition, feel free to ask!

Also for Mac users please note that starting December 21, 2024, the legacy LastPass Password Manager (Mac desktop app) will no longer be supported. Technical support will be available exclusively for LastPass for Safari (version 4.133.1 or later).
