I keep getting 'can't access server' when I have already entered master password and authenticated on my phone. However, if I ask for support by logging into the website then the app signs in at the same time. Some kind of very annoying glitch here.

That sounds like a cookie issue. I recommend deleting LastPsas cookies, and then attempting a login again. The only FAQ I could find was for Chrome. If you're using a different browser, you'll have to look up that particular procedure.
