Chrome extension not respecting preferences

Question

In my LastPass Chrome browser extension preferences, I have "Log out when all browsers are closed" UNchecked, and "Show vault after login" UNchecked. Yet every time I close Chrome and reopen, I have to log back in with my master password. And every time I log in, the vault opens. Why is the extension ignoring my preferences?

It wasn't working on Chrome lately. I filled out support and got a quick call back. I was told to remove the extension. When I logged back onto LastPass there was a message with a button to install the extension on Chrome. I reinstalled it and activated it. Then I added the extension to the toolbar. Clicked on the red LastPass icon and logged in. Now it works perfectly like before. Representative that called was friendly and clearly explained what to do.

Thanks for the input! Removing and reinstalling was one of the basic troubleshooting steps that HenryO suggested I try. I did, and the problem didn't go away, so I filed a support case. But I didn't use the exact method you describe so I may try again following those steps, if the case isn't resolved before I have a chance to. Thanks again!
