Preparing for travel and the potential to lose or have stolen my mobile. How do I go about accessing desktop Lastpass without the device to authenticate me as user?

In this case if you continue to have issues authenticating your account you can open a ticket with one of our support members from this article: I am locked out because I can't disable multifactor authentication for my LastPass account.
You can also try the in the same article before to see if you can disable your authenticator yourself.
