The feature Improved Save and Fill is going to be deployed and users are not going to be able to turn this option off, that one of the reasons the feature turns back on, this has been planned since early 2023.

Unfortunately, the option "Improved Save and Fill" will no longer be available from the Advanced Options menu, this was a planned action since January 2023.
However, if there is a specific site where you don't want LastPass to act on, you can configure a rule to prevent this. Please, check the article "Manage Never URLs in Account Settings".

Yup, they are forcing their terrible new changes on us instead of caring about their customer.
Do you know how to turn it off in the meantime under vault, advanced settings & then toggle the button to the left?
Please listen the customers on this one! If we can toggle it on and off now, please leave us that option and make in permenant. Don't force me to go find another Password Manager.
This is a terrible answer. I hate the Improved Save and Fill. Please don't make a permanent thing. It's always in the way.
Wait what? It doesn't show you all the different logins for one site???
On another note, their NEW ticketing system looks like it was designed back in the 90s & it's terrible. You can't even see the essay field to type in until you click on reopen ticket & then go back to post.
It keeps telling me that I need to respond even though they haven't updated the ticket since April 4th.
I keep writing that there's NO RESPONSE & then 1-2 days later they make it so the ticket once again tells me I have to respond.
The IQ of everyone at LP is very low or I should say LogMeIn, since things weren't this bad before they bought out LP. sigh
All I do is waste my time with them.
If you find an alternative that isn't just a p/w management software, please LMK. I have a whole list if you want it, & none of them allow for the credit cards, addresses, etc.
There was one (I think it's called blur), but their GUI was terrible so I never switched. I wonder if they changed things since.
Agree with the pushback here. I keep trying to leave Improved Save and Fill be on but every time I get frustrated and turn it off. It doesn't fill some form properly and, above all, doesn't allow me to add a new login for an existing site (I have multiple AWS accounts and Improved Save and Fill is a disaster on both fronts there). I am a paying customer and if they completely disable the legacy save and fill I will certainly be looking for another password manager.
It shows the different logins but it used to say "add a new site" when it showed the password change, the "improved" version doesn't do that and so I have to actually go and manually create a new entry. I have several places where I need to manage multiple logins and the "improved" version just makes doing that a bear.

I haven't had a change p/w yet using this new method, so I guess I haven't come across that issue.
And you told them & they aren't fixing it?
I don't like it b/c it covers up things & it doesn't auto fill a new p/w when I create a new login. I have to copy the p/w & do ctrl V myself which I NEVER had to do before.

All software is forcing us to conform to THEIR terrible ways of doing things. LP isn't the only company that has become controlling and/or changed their software to make it more difficult to use, in the last several years.
I used to toggle this function off but every time it goes back on after a couple of days, and now I can't eithen switch it off and found this thread. This function is not good for us and the option marks over the area for selection in my websites so this is were frustrating. I will also look for other password manager if this function will be forced on.
The Last Pass advanced auto-fill feature creates bad data for us. When we edit an employee record, Last Pass wipes out the email address of the employee with my email. If I don't catch that before I sav eother changes, the employee record is wrong, and it prevents the employee from logging in. What a mess!
Now during software demos the Last Pass icon pops up in all our web forms that have nothing to do with Last Pass auto-fill. I can't exclude Last Pass from the current website because I can't easily switch between demo accounts without using Last Pass. Catch-22 situation.
This feature would not stay off. Many times every day I'd have to un-check the advanced feature. But... at least we had the option to turn it off. Now we don't even have that anoying feature.
I hope Last Pass brings back the option to turn it off... or it seems we'll have to look for an alternative solution.

All their tech support tells me to do when there's a problem, is uninstall & reinstall LP as if I have all that time to do these things.
Every time a company (just like evil Upwork) tells me that it's my browser or computer causing issues, I know that the programmers have no clue what they are doing.
Most software is coded by low IQ 3rd world country people & that's a fact.
It's almost impossible to find software that functions properly, has good GUI & is intuitive & things have gotten worse since the war started in March 2020.
This is all meant to stress us out & it does. You know you are stressed & that's their whole agenda. Stress causes emotional & physical issues & makes us sick, especially if it's ongoing. That's why they fear porned everyone who wasn't awake, back in March 2020. All lies of course.
I started figuring this all out when tons of the vendors I use started revamping their software during the scamdemic.
I was like... Where do they have all of this money to redo their software when there was NOTHING wrong with it in the first place.
Then it finally dawned on me in 2023 that it was b/c the software has to be tied to the evil AI that will record every single thing you do. I'm sure they got money to do all of this. They even stopped us from using Win 7 & while everyone thinks it's b/c it's end of life, that's not the reason. There was NOTHING wrong (still isn't) with Win 7, but everyone was pushing me to switch to 10. When they push you to do something & everyone is pushing you, that's a red flag this is all brainwashing & this is not organic.
That's also why tons of sites suddenly switched to those bots that are supposed to tie to a ticketing system.
The evils destroying our world can't tie into every single email or even every single different ticketing system, but my guess is that they created these bot/ticket systems which I HATE, so the data all goes to them. They track everything you do. It's called the digital prison.
None of the software that was revamped made things ANY better, & in fact, made things worse. I have problem after problem with almost every single software I use. Even Thunderbird I refused to update to their huge new version because I found it very suspicious that they kept pressuring me to. If they had revamped it pre-war, then I would have updated, but now that I know what they are doing, I won't.
Evernote who I used to love, was just sold out to an AI corp in Italy. No surprise that they are now tied to EVIL AI. They now have access to millions of notes from people all over the world. Of course people are very naïve & believe every company when they tell them, "oh, your data is encrypted & is safe with us." LOL yeh right.

When I went to go pay for a month, they REFUSED to take my US credit card saying I have to use a cc from the country I'm in. WTH????
While I'm furious about it & I will tell everyone now, it's not really a surprise for me.

Mark my words now, if you travel or are a digital nomad, you will no longer be allowed to use any site or money transfer site (this started in 2022) unless you are in the country where the cc is. I can't even pay freelancers now. I'm blocked by every money transfer site either because they force the toxic cell phone weapon on us, or because they won't let me pay if I'm not in the US & this NEVER happened before.
I'm still figuring out what their play is b/c they always have more than one play whenever they do something to us.
The only thing I know so far is that they don't want us traveling & they want us back in our main country so they can track us. When I come up with another reason why, I'll write an article about it on my site.
I left LastPass over this issue. Using a different Password Manager now. Dueces LastPass.
Thanks will give it a go. I have worked out that this Improved save/fill upsets most of my financial accounts, and messes up on all utilities and even membership systems. It look like it was only ever tested on stores.. Oh well they must be banking on people not realising that there are alternatives.
It seems to have gone and is wreaking havoc wiht several online systems I use all the time. Any reccomendations for an alternative here ?
I switched to Bitwarden over this issue. Actually ended up liking it better.
