I recently received email "This notice is to inform you that as of March 31, 2024, we will no longer support the LastPass Mac App version that you downloaded directly from our website (www.lastpass.com)"

I recently received email "This notice is to inform you that as of March 31, 2024, we will no longer support the LastPass Mac App version that you downloaded directly from our website (www.lastpass.com). This change will not impact the data in your vault, but you will no longer be able to utilize this version of the desktop application to access LastPass.". I uninstalled LastPass and installed new version 4.126 from Apple App Store. The Mac App vault works ok, but the Safari extension does not autofill and shows the vault as empty. I also get system requests to allow Lastpass access to all webpage data (old app did not do this). I allowed the Lastpass app access, but the Safari web extension still does not autofill and still shows vault as empty. I gave up and went back to my previous version of Lastpass. Has anyone gotten V4.126 to work. I have a MacBook Air with M1 chip, running Sonoma 14.3.1, and Safari Version 17.3.1 (19617.2.4.11.12).

No. I just uninstalled the App and installed the new version (4.126) from Apple App Store and it doesn't work anymore. LastPass starts however it never shows up on screen. I see the three dots on the menu bar and I can see LastPass menu but, I never see the app window. I have an old MacBookPro with Dual-Core Intel Core i5 running macOS 10.15.7.

I hope someone has an answer for us.

Same here. LP working fine in all browsers except Safari.

Same here. My new Lastpass won't work. Lousy instructions . I believe I will try another well reviewed Password security program

Me too. FWIW, it's working in Chrome on the same machine, just not in Mac Safari.

Same here. My Chrome extension on a Mac hasn't worked for some time. I'm ready to move away from LastPass after this incident. There are too many warning signs of inattentive or sloppy work on the product.

I am sort of having this same problem. I have two separate logins on my Mac, one for work and one for personal. The work login, where I originally installed the new app, works fine. It works in Safari just like it should. On my personal login, it only works in the vault app... the Safari extension has me logged in but shows an empty vault. How odd that it works for one but not the other...

We're waiting on one older MacBook Air to be upgraded when the new models come out next month... then we're probably shifting over to Apple Keychain now that they have family sharing and have added the stolen device security layers. LastPass is fine, but not really worth the price for a family plan anymore.

having the same issue as OP and as noted in the comments with the empty vault + not working in Safari. Hope it's fixed soon.

Ok, I found the following fix on REDDIT which resolves this problem... thanks to Boot_Strap_88 for posting

MacOS - Safari Plug-in Empty Vault - SOLVED

Just wanted a place to publish this since it took some time to work through the issue. After upgrading LastPass my Safari Plug-in stopped working. With 4-5 support calls, I finally got it resolved.

TURN OFF iCloud Relay - Settings/iCloud/Private Relay - OFF (Do not set it off for a day, must be completely off)
REBOOT
Under the plug-in - [Account] - [Fix the problem yourself] - Select [Clear Local Data]
Under the Plug-in [Account] - [Fix the problem yourself] - [Log out of LastPass Everywhere]

This process was the only thing that fixed it without the issue re-occuring.
