I am using a Windows 11 PC with the Brave Browser  which reports Lastpass consumes 1.5GB of memory allocation, is this normal?

Hello Hilda,

I did follow the instructions and the results are the same.  Please note that this is not the extension that appears to be consuming the roughly 1.5GB of memory, it is when I have lastpass vault open in a browser tab itself that is consuming the 1.5+GB of memory.    This was after opening the lastpass vault in the browser via the lastpass extension that was newly installed after clearing the browser cache and cookies.

Also note, I see even more memory usage when the Lastpass Vault is opened in the Firefox browser.

I have attached two images of the memory usage as reported by the Windows Task Manager of the two browsers task memory usage.

Is this usage of resources expected?

About your issue, the amount of memory allocation that LastPass uses is based on the amount of password you have stored in your account, however the numbers might be to high. I have completed some updates from my side, such as clearing the corrupted sessions and updating your account. I need you to follow these steps to complete the basic troubleshooting:

* Uninstalling the extensionUninstall LastPass
* Clearing your browser's cookies and cache
* Restart the browser
* Reinstalling the extension from https://lastpass.com/misc_download2.php
* Open LastPass using the extension Use the LastPass browser extension
* Try again
