LastPass locked me out, couldn't access verification email, kind of a Catch 22

I tried accessing LastPass (Android phone) over a new wifi network, and it locked me out because it needed to reverify my device. (It never did this before.) I can't log in to my email without being able to use Last Pass, so I had no way of getting in. I had to wait until I got home, and I was able to log in through my usual wifi. I can't be having this issue, because I travel a lot. One thing I noticed when I looked at Settings-Security, after I was able to log in, is that "Unlock with biometrics" was set to on, but "Log in with biometrics" had been switched off. I have changed it back to enable me to log in with biometrics - will that override the problem I had today? In other words, will LastPass still need to reverify my phone if I use my fingerprint to log in?

I am sorry about the issues you are having. You will be sent a verification email every time you are logging through a new IP address. If you are going to travel, I would suggest to keep your email password at hand so you can access it.

You can also disable the verification emails completely for your account. However, please keep in mind that this is a security feature and disabling it could leave your account more vulnerable. To disable them, follow these steps on a computer:

Log into your account and open your vault
Click on Account settings
Click on Show Advanced Settings
Scroll down until you find the Security settings
Select the checkbox for"Don't require email verification from unknown devices and locations."
Click on Update and enter your Master Password when required
You will no longer be sent the verification emails.
