Each member of the Families plan will have their own account to access, with a unique email and master password.
Regarding the access with biometrics (Face ID & Touch ID), these will depend on the settings of the mobile device, allowing the app to recognize these settings.
If the mobile device your husband is using to access his account does not have this option, they will require to use the master password only.

I am sorry about the issues your husband is having with passwordless login. Please verify the requirements on this article and follow the instructions found on it. If the setting is grayed out, you may need to reinstall the lastpass app.
