Can't create new account

I'm wanting to create a LastPass account however whenever I go to create one it says I already have an account. So then I try to reset my password it sends me an email that says it requires me to have reset the password from a device that has the application/extension already installed. I've never actually made an account to my knowledge. I did however have a LogMeIn account several years ago which I am able to login to and see that my last activity was in 2013. Is there any way to reset my password on my account (that I didn't know existed) or am I completely out of luck if I don't know my master-password or have it already installed?

It sounds like you were trying account recovery which will not work as you have not been using LastPass and will not have any recovery one-time passwords generated. Please follow the steps in this support article to reset the LastPass account completely. When you are asked if you know the Master Password select NO and an email will be sent to you to complete the process. The last step will have you create a new Master Password for the account, this is the most important step so please take your time.

Once you are signed in successfully, please take a moment to set up additional account recovery options.
