safari extension pop up notification will not go away

Question

Every single time I open LastPass, I get a pop-up notification that reads, "This looks like your first time here. Click to enable the LastPass Safari extension." I close it, as I'm not using Safari and don't want the extension, and needless to say, it's not my first time using LastPass. How do I get this to STOP? It's driving me nuts.

In case there is any doubt or ambiguity, LastPass is incompetent and actively hostile to its users. If I had any more influence in my employer's procurement and information security organizations, I would have stopped using and depending on LastPass a long time ago.

I advise anybody who finds this thread to push on any levers available to you to remove this company and its app from your environment as soon as practical.

After some back and forth troubleshooting with customer support I got this response:

" I shared the information with our product team and they informed me that this is expected."

Just for clarity and for search engines to help others with this issue:

"This looks like your first time here. Click to enable the LastPass Safari extension." is designed to open every time you log in unless you enable the extension.  It is by design that if someone does not want to enable the browser extension,  LastPass will continue to prompt them every time they log in even though they've selected to not use it. This is a conscious decision that the product team made.

Same thing here.  I even contacted customer support and they didn't understand the issue.  It's still happening to me.
