Face ID Recovery not working on iPhone

Question

I don’t remember my master password and I’m trying to recover my Lastpass account using the Face ID on my iPhone but Face ID recovery no longer working.

The Face ID recovery worked fine earlier in the year and I’ve been using Face ID to unlock Lastpass without any issues. I decided to recover my master password using the Face ID yesterday but it just returns an error message “Looks like something went wrong. We could not recover your account at this time. Please try again later.”

I’ve tried again later without any success. I’ve also tried using the Recovery OTP on my laptop that I’ve logged into the lastpass website previously and received the SMS code but it just returned an error saying it could not recover my account.

Face ID recovery was working for me earlier in the year but something has changed and it no longer works. Does anyone know if this is an issue with Lastpass that can be rectified?

I’d rather avoid having to delete all my data and starting again. It’s a bit frustrating that the Lastpass Face ID recover no longer works….

Any advice or assistance is appreciated.

Hello.

When it comes to biometrics integration, when integrated, this authentication path 'unlocks' the trusted LastPass app, but does not log you into the account itself.

If you reboot the mobile device, update the LastPass app, update the operating system, or break the authentication between our servers at any time, you will be required to enter the LastPass account password again.

Biometric account recovery is an option users may preset in advance of losing their account password to help verify their identity. This is only possible by storing a cache of personal LastPass data within that device, created when you sign in with the account password.  If you haven't logged in with the password for some time, then LastPass may not be able to securely identify you or the local device.

why won't FACE ID work with your APP.   It's been ok for ages now  doesn't want to work
