I am hesitant to use 2 factor authentication --- in case of my death! I plan on giving my master password to the folks who will look after my affairs. What if my phone is not available for authentication. Would a family or business account help?

Welcome to the LastPass Community.

* Most 2 factor authentication systems can be disabled via email or SMS. 
* If that's not an option, LastPass Customer Support can manually deactivate the MFA requirement
* I'd suggest setting up Emergency Access for your family members that can set up a LastPass account.
