Enforce MFA via SMS for users

Hi

I have two questions.

1. First is it possible to force users to have 2FA/MFA activated? Like when they first login they have to set MFA up, like on other sites? As far as I see this, I can give the users the option to use MFA, but not force them?

2. Can I use 2FA via SMS and without an app? Under "Multifactor Options" in the Settings I only see options to activate M2A via different Authenticator apps but not soley via sms. Or has this been removed due to security concerns?

SMS is not supported for 2FA. In general it can be less reliable (you might not receive the message), also it is less secure. Is there a specific concern you have about using an app?

I found a solution for the first question. It was under Settings --> Policies --> Require and MFA option after a grace period.

But I still don't seem to find a solution for my 2nd question. Is there no way to not have to use an app for 2FA at all?
