Since yesterday, all my passwords desappeared (several hundreds). Some of them are remplaced by Indian or Chinese characters.
Sounds like your locally cached copy of your vault may have experienced some corruption.
You can fix it by following the instructions in this article:

Hope this helps!
Thanks for your help. The 2 first soluces did not work but I recovered all my passwords using my last master password. Fortunately, the modification of my main password was not so old. I will try to refind passwords I created since this moment.
Is there a way to avoid another similar situation. Losing all my passwords and links was very scaring. I use Lastpass for a lot of professional passwords. Please, let me know if there is a way to creat a backup of these PW.
Best regards
Jerome

You can export your entire vault to either an encrypted or unencrypted csv file. Then, if you ever lose your passwords, you can import the exported csv file back into LastPass.
Export to an encrypted file:

NOTE: When I export my vault to an unencrypted csv file, I zip it up into an encrypted, password protected zip file for saving. Then I delete the unencrypted csv file.

I am working with a website called BuilderTrend for some construction work we're doing and when I used LastPass thru Chrome to login, it filled the username with Chinese characters shown below. What the heck is going on? I checked the site entry in my LastPass vault and it is a std email address in that field.

I'll go thru that, but it didn't appear to me that was the issue since the vault contents themselves were fine. It was just the login field that got the odd characters. Thank you! we'll see.
