I have tried this and unfortunately it still is not working! They really need a support line or email to contact!
Bummer! I reported the case and mentioned I'm not the only one. Hope they will look into it asap.
I had the same issue and what worked for me was to remove/deinstall the Chrome extension, delete all cache and cookies, close browser. And then reinstall the Chrome extension, go to LastPass login, and it worked...
Took me almost 30 minutes to solve this issue, and I'm really pissed that there's no support option from LastPass at all. Probably will look for another solution as this is a big fuck-up if you have all your business passwords there but can't access them.
Also the same problem. Only after delete and reinstall chrome extension it worked. But i am sure this is not a solution. Tried also different broswers.
Same issue for me. I deleted all site data in chrome (go to 'site settings', search for lastpass, then delete). Then I uninstall extension, then install again. Now I could get the option to sign in. Ridiculous that lastpass has no way for customer to contact a customer support person, the documentation/help links just take you in circles with no way to contact anyone. I couldn't even post in the forum until I figured out the issue since I couldn't sign in to post! I'll be looking at other options, I can't afford to be locked out of access to all my account for an hour like just happened!
I have a related issues, I can log in but the vault is not opening, so I can't accept any shared password
Try to use incognito, it helped me a lot
Same issue here. The browser dev console gives this error:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'onRequest')
at background-spa.bundle.lpv-40e472551.js:264:60643
I have the same issue when using Google Chrome. I am able to use the web extension; however, when attempting to sign into the website, I get stuck at the login page with the same "Uncaught TypeError." Until the issue is resolved, I found that using a different web browser (for example, Microsoft Edge) has worked.
Same issue here. It just hangs and runs the CPU up to 15% while displaying the vault icon. Extension works - but I need to log into the vault. Tried removing and reinstalling the extension. No joy. Tried rebooting the computer. No joy. Chrome (up to date) on Windows 11 (up to date).
I can't log in to lastpass either. I'm superpissed. Feels like a slap in the face, like being spit on.. maybe not being spit on, but it really sucks and I blame lastpass because others have same issue.
I have the same issue. For me it only works using Chrome. Using edge it only works once in a while. It is really annoying since edge is the main browser I work with.
It was doing that to me. Try deleting the Chrome extension and reinstalling it.It worked for me.
First tab won't load "home" page and shows as "Loading", second will load but with delay, processor is running high, pages will load if it enter an address but initial load of home page does not work. Turning off the browser extension repairs the loading issue but of course I want to use the extension but can't. Something related to the extension is preventing homepage from loading and increasing processor use.
Same issue here in Firefox. No solution yet?
This is the furthest thing from usable at the moment. I can get it to work for a few hours at a time by deleting extension, deleting browsing data, and then reinstalling. But it doesn't take long for it to break. I actually pay for this so that makes it sting a bit more. Not sure if a chrome update screwed it up, but this really needs to be resolved as soon as possible.
Just started getting the same issue in Firefox - unable to access vault.
In Firefox, passwords are being loaded for sites. The RH-Click menu, to generate a new password etc, is working. Vault shows the loading screen.
In Chrome, all is fine.
Same here with Firefox 129.0.2 snap for ubuntu.
Confirmed. I've just rolled-back to 4.127 in FF, and it's working again. I've turned off automatic updates for now. Thanks goes out to @User17253911917487259908
Get this opening the vault on FF with 4.133, but might not be the same issue add that was pushed out only about a week ago. Had to go to the addon page and manually install 4.127.
I, too, am seeing the same in Firefox on Win11. Sure slows the workflow. Any word on when a fix is expected? Or at least reasonable workaround instructions?
Same issue. Stopped working after I updated to macOS 14.6.1 and updated Firefox to 130.0 all in one fell swoop. Getting the blank loading screen when I try to open my Vault from the Firefox extension. The extension will still search the vault, but I can't enter it directly to see everything.
Dear last pass guys, is this going to be fixed soon? If I have to uninstall and reinstall everytime my browser closes I'll have to migrate to another paid password extension. I've happily paid for like 2 years so far and was an avid user before that. I'd really rather not switch but this is a dealbreaker.
To the last three users:
Go to the older versions page for lastpass in Firefox: (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/lastpass-password-manager/versions/) install the one called 'Version 4.127.0.1' and make sure you have 'Allow automatic updates' turned off for LastPass for now (in the Firefox Add onsand themes) -and check it again in a couple of weeks (turn on the auto updates and see if it still fails to load). See pix attached showing the two key screens
Confirmed - reverting to v4.127.0.1 fixes the issue for me, in Firefox 128.0.3, on Ubuntu 22.04.4.
User17252646558256463866 posted brief instructions 7 days ago. This worked for me (and I'm so grateful). If there is a specific step that doesn't make sense you might post a more detailed question for help. I'm sure someone here can get you what you need.
I am using lastpass on firefox. Could someone tell me how to revert to old version. And when is firefox going to fix this problem?
I contacted customer support following this thread, the following did at least resolve the issue for me:
In the Add-ons and themes (CTRL+Shift+A) settings you will find the "Debug add-ons" option (the third from Check for Updates), you have to debug the LastPass add-on, and the Vault will load again like a charm.
Same issue. For the past two months.
