Lastpass - Malware causing issues - CPU going up

How come this community is not monitored or replied by any support staffs? I wonder..

Recently I got a bad popup and some malware got installed in my chrome. Since then, the Lastpass addon in Chrome started causing CPU issues, where my laptop fan starts.

Once I disable the Lastpass addon , then CPU goes down.. My theory is that the malware is trying to do something with the Lastpass addon. I have it in disabled state. So this malware incident happened 4 days back or so. Today, I get an email saying someone has reset my Apple ID password, which I have not used in years. Users of lastpass , be careful.

The temporary fix may not show the performance improvement right away, but take several minutes for the background actions to level out. Please let us know if the high CPU behavior persists after 10+ minutes using LastPass version 4.139.3.

They are working on the high CPU reports. If your security software gives you a location of the flagged file, get a second opinion with VirusTotal to rule out a false positive. False positives are common with heuristic detection, especially if files change due to an update.

The lastpass application also gives high cpu usage. What are you doing on this lastpass team???? Are you solving it?

4.139.0 has it again.. huge CPU load...

Yes i can also confirm that 4.139.0 is now sending chrome cpu to 100%, Version 132.0.6834.196 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Just so incredibly mind blowing that this isn't fixed yet. It's like LastPass is *trying* to make their users stop paying and leave. Really truly astonishing.

Please perform a full re-install of the LastPass app to receive version 4.139.3, then log back into your account and please let us know if the issue remains.

removed last pass extension and re added ie 4.139.3 but this has made no difference.
