Last Pass is telling me to change my Master Password

Periodically I find the Last Pass icon turns yellow and when I click on it, it tells me that I have used my Master Password on this site and should change it.

I have to say this is nigh on impossible. My master password is long and very criptic to the point that it is a pain to type it out.

I can assure you that I have never used it anywhere else or am ever likely to use it accidentally anywhere else.

Changing the master password has become quite a dangerous exercise.

Twice now I have almost locked myself out when I have changed my master password and then have found it doesn't work.

Changing the master password is not something I will do lightly.

Why am I getting these messages?

I am sorry about the issues you are having with changing your password. This is being asked as the minimum length of characters in the Master Password was increased to 12, any passwords that are not 12 characters or more are being required to be changed at login.
