I’ve been using 1Password for my personal needs for a long time, and I’ve been very happy with it.
However, my company requires me to use LastPass because it’s free for basic features.
Don’t get me wrong—everything works fine. It has Firefox support and autofill, which are convenient.
But one day, when I tried to log in to my LastPass account, it asked me for email verification. That’s when I realized everything was messed up.
Since LastPass doesn’t require email verification during signup, I didn’t realize I had entered the wrong email address. As a result, I can’t log in or recover my account.
Why is LastPass designed this way? I can’t believe such a fundamental flaw still exists after nine years since its initial release.
