Hello@"User17529386343445270513"
Welcome to the LastPass Community.
Based on your message, it appears that you've shared credentials using the “Hide Passwords” feature, but some users are still able to view the password by clicking the eye icon on the website. Let me explain how this works.
When the “Hide Passwords” setting is enabled in LastPass, it restricts visibility within the LastPass interface — meaning users cannot view or copy the password from their vault or browser extension. This protection applies only within the LastPass environment.
However, once the credentials are filled into a website’s login field, the password becomes part of the site’s page content. Many websites include their own visibility toggles — such as an eye icon or checkbox — which are built into the site’s code. These elements are managed entirely by the website and cannot be blocked or controlled by LastPass or any other password manager.
Please let us know if there is something else we can do for you.
Greetings!
