I am prompted with "You have 2 device switches left. I am not sure what that means.

Question

I am new with the LastPass autenticator. Does 2 left mean 2 left today (then tomorrow it starts over at some other number?) or "2 left" period. And if only 2 left period, then does this mean it will no longer work unless i pay? and what do they mean by "switches". I tried to get in Yahoo mail on my PC and in order to do so I must authenticate with lastpass on my phone. so what exactly am i switching?

and what is an active device type?

@Alejandra_LP  thank you for taking the time to reply. Sorry to say I do not understand your answer. You wrote, "The device switch only happens when you... move from a computer to a mobile device or vice versa.".  Move how? What does ''move''mean? Let me explain my question better. I am on my PC, to authenticate one MUST use their phone hence am I now ''moving''

This doesn't fully answer my question regarding it. when you write, (as asked) "After the switches end" do you mean withing the same day? END when? as in does it reset after a day this "end" or does this mean that, for example, if I do so tomorrow once and then a week from now once then it is over--I must get premium at that point?

FInally my PC has LastPass on its browsers, nowhere else--as in there is no app software named last pass in any shape or form. However my smartphone seems to have 2 of them. One is LastPass itself and the other is Authenticator. SO when you reply to the above, please also let me know if you are referring to both of these apps or just one (If one which one)?

The device switch happens when you access to the LastPass website and then you access to the LastPass app in your phone. The one that says only LastPass, if you use the LastPass Authenticator app which is call only Authenticator you will not be prompted to make a switch from "computer view" to "mobile device view". The switches finish or end when the system tells you " You have 0 switches left please proceed to upgrade your account" I am not able to tell you when that is going to happen since every time you switch or accept a switch the system will inform you how many switchs you have left.

The device switch only happens when you have a free account and you move from a computer to a mobile device or viceversal. This when you access to your LastPass account from one of those devices. After the switches end you will need to upgrade to Premium if you want to continue both devices or multiple devices to access to LastPass.
