Can anyone tell me what the numbers mean that appear on the icon, here is an example - in this case it is 14 many thanks

The fourteen (14) next to the extension icon is the number of site entries tied to that second level domain.

It won't hurt anything, but if there are erroneous entries, you may want to clean them up at some point.
