Unable to sign in after reformatting my PC

After a hard drive crash and reload of Win 10, I can no longer access my Lastpass acct. (at least not on the PC.)

All is fine with my devices that have fingerprint scanners set up.

I used LastPass for years on the desktop and devices. I never had a password problem until there was a fresh install of Windows. Now, it says my master password is wrong...

My wlt file is stored off site and is synced with all devices.

Is there a way to get the desktop to work again?

Finally! Success! The key is to log out of the mobile app before attempting the mobile recovery process. It worked like a charm! Thanks for the hint!!

I reviewed your account and see the failed sign-in attempts from Chrome, what you are entering does not match the master password you created 4 weeks ago.Remember, the master password is 12 or more characters long and has at least one upper and lower case letter, number, and symbol. It is also case sensitive so you may want to type it out in a text editor to check exactly how it is being entered.

Your mobile device is most likely set to wait 30 days before prompting you to reenter your master password, which is why you are still able to unlock the app and access your vault. If you are unable to remember your master password you should be able to reset it through the LastPass mobile app.

Tried your latest idea. "Lastpass account recovery failed... Your current browser didn't save....".

If I can't recover the PW, and I have to delete the account and start over, what are the chances of being able to import the current wlt file??

Thanks for your reply. I tried to reset the master PW via the mobile app. Unfortunately, when I enter the Change Master Password page, the first question it asks is, what is your OLD Master Password? I obviously have no clue, which is the reason I'm in this situation. Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry. Not a wlt file. That's a different app. Is there a way to export the data file, then import it into a new account?
