Some time ago, I enabled a setting wherein the user had to click on the Chrome browser extension for LP in order to have the fields of a form filled. Today, I can't find that setting anymore after a Windows 10 Pro 64bit system restore.

I believe that the best option is to use the save all entered data option when saving the item. You can find the process here: Add a password in LastPass.
