Hundreds of repetitive emails about LastPass Families

For the love of god how do I get last pass to stop emailing me about LastPass Families?

3 times a day, every day I get an email that says:

“ You’re officially a part of the family!

Welcome to LastPass Families – you successfully activated your plan. You can start using your Families plan immediately to secure your personal digital life.

As the Family Manager, you can invite up to 5 additional family members or friends to join your plan. Log into your new LastPass Families account to invite members through your family Dashboard.”

They also make it clear that there is nothing I can do to stop these emails: “ This is not a promotional email | Email opt-out settings have been ignored.”

I have received 10 emails in the past three days , I’m not exaggerating, I’d post a screenshot if I could.

I don’t have anyone I want to add to my family. Do I need to cancel and permanently delete my account to make these stop?

The fix should be live today, meaning no more communications.

For any Family members still experiencing trouble, have them log out, then back into LastPass to confirm the active status.

Same exact thing is happening to me. Getting at least 3 emails per day and nothing I can do to opt out and also not clicking links in case of scam. I've also been had families for some time now.

There is also no good way to report issues either. I was going to create a new discussion if I didn't find this one. I purposely had to create an account just to talk about this here.

Very tempted to cancel at this point.

I’ve gotten nine Welcome to the Family messages via email since Monday, with a clickable “Manage your families” button, since Monday — now twice a day. I’ve been a Families member for quite a while.

I’m assuming that they are Phishing Spam, and did not click the button. But are they actually coming from Lastpass??

Terrible practice, if they’re really from Lastpass. The frequency alone makes the emails look like Phishing Spam. If they’re really from Lastpass, they are training people to click when they shouldn’t.

We are working on a fix currently, so this should be resolved very soon.
