I think the issue is related to lastpass permissions in the chrome extension was set to (ask) default for clipboard, and it should have access to the clipboard, or it will not copy anything outside of it.
Have to set this to Allow
I think the last time they or google chrome updated, it caused this to break. Kinda a big deal.
same
same here. Started yesterday
Same here with Microsoft Edge Chromium... very frustrating. If this isn't solved soon I will change password manager... I pay for it and I want quality. If not: I'm gone
Still not fixed on Edge.
I often have more than one chrom window open - I've noticed that if I use the window that was opened last, I can copy the username/password as expected
As someone else said: rty to click multiple times on copy password (!) worked for me (just this time)
Same
Same here with Microsoft EdgeVersion 128.0.2739.67 (Official build) (64-bit)
Thanks @AnToine van Maarle, that solution worked for me, clicking copy multiple times kicked the extension into gear. I am using Microsoft Edge Version 129.0.2792.65 with LastPass extension version4.134.0
still not working - come on lastpass this has been going on for nearly 2 months
Same problem here
Been running into exactly this issue in Chrom and in Edge on Windows 11. It's frustrating that such a commonly used feature being broken wasn't fixed some time ago. Seriously making me think about switching to a different password manager and I've used LastPass for years.
No update here?
I have found that I have to clear the local cache in my extension first (click Account button, then Fix a Problem Yourself, then Clear local data, then sign back in), then afterward, I can click the copy button multiple times for either the username or password, and then the extension will finally copy the data.

It's the only way they might do something about it.

same issue, this has been happening for months. There are a couple fixes, but the problem comes back almost right away. It's baffling how such a core feature like copying to clipboard works less than 1/4 of the time, or sometimes not at all. I've been having to open the vault, choose edit password, and show the password briefly to copy it. If it wasn't already enough of a security concern using lastpass, then doing it this way is insane. Shoulder surfing is a real threat, and I have to do it this way because of their incompetence.
Same here and fed up
Same for us, all 8 people experiencing the same issue, paying for a service and a very core feature isn't working. Very frustrating
I am also facing this issue when trying with chrome/brave, trying to reset cache as mentioned above unfortunately did not help any update from the LastPass team? I tried to log a bug via the widget but failed to connect numerous times (lol) has there been any update on this?
Hi there,
By reading your last exchange, I found a solution (or a workaround) in Edge.
Open the LastPass extension options:
If you set 'Clear clipboard after this number of seconds' to a value, it works!
PS: Sorry, this is in French screen shot, but you should be able to find it yourself.
The Chrome extension setting works! Thank you. Only took 4 months for an answer - thanks lastpass.
@User17333785431332996807 thanks for the hint! It fixed the issue in Chrome but not in Microsoft Edge
I had this option enabled and set to 60. I did some tests with it but it doesn't matter if it is enabled or disabled in both cases it copy function doesn't work
This is what I had to do to get it work reliability in Edge/Chrome:
1) You have to right click on the LastPass icon and click "View web permissions". Then scroll down to "Clipboard" and change to "Allow". It won't look like it changes but if you refresh it will change.
2) You have to right click on the LastPass icon again and then click "Extension options". Go to "Advanced" and then uncheck "Clear clipboard after this many seconds" and save.
Note: When you first open the browser, it won't copy the first password. However, after a few seconds, try it again and it should work. Then, it should work after that until you close the browser and open it back up.
