So just upgraded to LastPass for Safari and can't get it to fully open. I repeatedly get the message to update the settings in Safari Preferences, which I do. But every time I launch the app, that same message comes up to revise preference settin...

About your issue, the new extension for Safari, doesn't required an app, the LastPass icon in your PC is only the installer, to access the vault, access Safari and open the vault from the extension icon.

LastPass no longer has a desktop app for Mac

So does this mean that LastPass no longer works with other browsers?

None of this answers my question or solves my problem. LastPass for Safari will not work, even when I make the recommended changes in Extension settings.
