LastPass Authenticator - App stopped responding on my phone

I was using LP Authenticator for quite a while now. Now, when it tries to Authenticate or send me the authentication token to my phone, it does not open the app. The circle just sits there and spins. I can see the app underneath the message - "Opening".

For now, I temporarily disabled 2-factor authentication but would like to get it working again going forward. How can I get this corrected?

Thank you for your response!

I did re-enabled the 2 factor, and now before I log into LP, I launch the application on my phone first. This seemed to help and I am receiving the authentication message and my phone is able to respond to it now. I can press the 'accept' button as the app is functioning properly.

We'll see what happens from here.
