I suspect this is a phishing email but I'm not certain. The subject is "Issue to resolve with your account" and the link goes to a URL beginning "customer-lastpass.com".
Anyone else had this?
@zoodledoodle I'm not aware of this messaging for customers. Can you please tell us which email address sent this communication from?
is not one of ours, so we'll work to have it taken down as malicious as fast as possible.
Thanks for alerting us to this suspicious activity. In the future, you may also save any suspicious email as an attachment, then send that attachment in an email to .
I got the exact same email yesterday; and was also a bit hesitant. I didn't click the link in the email (of course) and when I logged into my account I didn't see any notifications of issues with my contact information. So I think it is phishing even though it looks quite legit...
@AshCThe return address isnoreply@security-lastpass.com and the link in the email that they want you to click starts with customer-lastpass.com/verify/ followed by a long random looking set of numbers and letters.
There is also a Return-Path (not sure if this is useful):<0106018134b77953-f19c91e9-6b15-4135-a248-5bba08f0f495-000000@ap-northeast-1.amazonses.com>
I received it too. Email address = . I figure it's phishing. These things give me pause and I spin for a moment, but really βWhat contact info would LastPass need other than our email addresses? which can't be out of date if we're receiving an email from them π
Here's the support page about thisHow do I protect myself from phishing scams?
We're aware of a second phishing attempt that occurred this week and are working to block this email address from any future use. Thanks for your patience.
Got another one with the subject "Confirm your request to delete your Lastpass account". Again the URL begins "security-lastpass.com" but the reply address this time is ".
I received the same - also from "
Here's a screen shot of the text.
I got again the same email; this time it ended up in my spam though ππ»
Hi,
I got this email in my inbox the other day. I have a feeling it is fake because of the email address it is from, but please can you confirm whether this is the case? As it looks pretty genuine other than the email address it is from!
Obviously if it is fake, this is something that you need to be aware of to prevent others from falling into this trap in the future.
Best wishes,
Fake email?
