I, too, have the same issues. I've performed the steps above and it fixes the issue but this happens a lot within the last few weeks to about a month. I don't think the expected UX is to go through Steps 1-6 every few days.
Is there some sort of fix coming so we don't have to do these steps on a regular occasion?

If you are continually being asked to sign into the LastPass app again, please state your operating system and web browser version here.
We'll also need to know if you're using a VPN with your network connection, and any additional browser plugins currently installed.
