..ebay.com(with mirroring domains - works) but apparently the login for Developer API is separate. LastPass wants to update my normal eBay password, period.

You'll want to manage your URL Rules within your online account settings at lastpass.com. Path Matching and Host Matching can be adjusted where you have different credentials for various sub-domains.
