Passwords not autofilling

When I land on a webpage that has a login prompt, the passwords don't populate. When I go up to the Lastpass Chrome Extension I get this message "to apply your updated settings refresh this page" then once I refresh the page, the fields autopopulate. I get that message everytime! Any ideas?

The same thing has started happening to me. Every new page I go to refuses to autofill. When I click the LastPass icon, I do not get the usual popup. Instead, I just get a message that says "To apply your updated settings to this site, reload this page." If I click "Reload", the page reloas, and then LastPass resumes operating as normal. Really annoying, and it only started recently.

Both of you are using Chrome as the desired browser, please, check the following options: Restart Google Chrome. Check Google Chrome Extensions. Close Unnecessary Tabs. Use an Extension. Disable Automatic Tab Discarding. Turn Off Chrome's Memory Saver. Run SFC Scan. Reset Google Chrome. Hope these help!

@Karol HidalgoDo you have a better answer than that ^^, or at least some more detail? And, "Run SFC Scan", really? LP is throwing blame on corrupt system file? And of course I'm using the LP extension, isn't everyone? Or are you referring to some other unnamed extension? Seems like this started happening for me when I upgraded to the family plan recently (more money and more frustration, apparently). @rmqjones, did you ever figure this out?

I'm afraid I do not have any definitive help. After a week or two, the problem went away. Maybe it was a chrome update or a LastPass update, but I'm really not sure. Sorry I can't be more help. :-(

Hi @johnringgold, in your browser try to find this management page or something similar looking for LastPass and make sure that the permission that says something like "Allow this extension to read and change all your data on websites you visit" is set to "On all sites"

That is in fact the setting. I set it to "On all sites" in the extension details area and now it works as expected.

Not sure what caused mine to start refusing to autofill (Dec2024). I fixed the issue with removing the chrome extension and reinstalling. Hope it helps
