The decision by LastPass to support only Android 12 and above can be explained by a combination of security, development strategy, and platform requirements:

Older Android versions lack many of the modern security features (like scoped storage, improved biometric APIs, and enhanced encryption support) that are now standard in Android 12+. Supporting only newer versions reduces the risk of vulnerabilities and simplifies compliance with security best practices.
